1. Definitions

• “Product” refers to the Khigo macOS application and Safari extension developed by Sientosh.
• “Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
• “You” means the individual using Khigo or any legal entity on whose behalf such individual is using the Product.

2. Information We Collect

Khigo does not collect or transmit any personal information to Sientosh servers. All data and actions occur locally on your device. This includes:

• Dragged text or URLs used within Khigo
• User-configured search engine URLs
• Inter-app communication with jDM (when enabled by you)

No data is stored or processed by Sientosh externally.

3. Use of Information

Information handled by Khigo is used exclusively to provide the intended functionality:

• Opening user-specified search engine URLs with dragged text
• Opening dragged URLs directly
• Sending URLs to jDM when you choose that option

Khigo does not analyze, monitor, or transmit this information beyond the actions explicitly performed by you.

4. Storage and Security of Data

Khigo does not permanently store your dragged text, URLs, or search queries. User-configured search engines are stored locally on your device in application-specific preferences. All information remains under your control and within the security of your device.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal or usage data. Information is only sent to third-party services (e.g., search engines or jDM) that you configure and initiate. Sientosh has no access to the data you process through Khigo.

6. Safari Extension Permissions

Khigo integrates with Safari using Safari’s extension system. Any permissions requested by Khigo are limited to enabling drag-and-drop operations and opening user-specified URLs. Khigo does not request, monitor, or intercept your browsing history or unrelated data.

7. Third-Party Services

Khigo interacts with external websites or search engines only when you configure them. The privacy practices of those services are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the policies of any service you choose to use with Khigo.

8. Data Retention

Khigo does not retain any personal data. Configuration data such as user-defined search engine URLs are stored locally and can be added or removed by you at any time. Dragged text and URLs are processed only temporarily during active use.

9. Security

Since Khigo does not collect or store data beyond your device, security depends on macOS and Safari’s built-in safeguards. You are responsible for securing access to your device and the services you connect to Khigo.

10. International Use

Khigo is intended for global use. Depending on the search engines or services you configure, your queries may be transmitted outside your country of residence. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Khigo complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

11. Legal Compliance

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Khigo complies with applicable laws, including data protection, copyright, and export control laws. Sientosh disclaims liability for any misuse of Khigo in violation of applicable law.

12. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

Khigo is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sientosh disclaims all liability for damages arising from the use or misuse of Khigo, including but not limited to loss of data, unauthorized access, or third-party service issues.

13. Children’s Privacy

Khigo is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has used Khigo in a way that may involve personal information, please contact us.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of Khigo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
